Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
The first New Codes since Berlin Atonal 2015 is set to take over the club tonight.
Leading the line is Minimal Wave founder, Veronica Vasicka, whose name is now synonymous with the best of spare, dark, minimal synthesised music – collecting everything from obscure EBM to synth-house and post-industrial pop. Joining her is Brooklyn-based Vereker (L.I.E.S., Berceuse Heroique).
Lakker returns to the premises after the world premiere of their A/V show Tundra during the festival, this time for a hard-hitting DJ set. Another Berlin Atonal 2015 alumni – Post Scriptum – who reprises the surprising and explosive live show that was one of the most talked about acts of the aftershow program during festival week.
We are glad to welcome budding Austrian talent Claudia Anderson for her Berlin debut – fresh in everyone’s minds after two stellar releases on Marcelus’ Singular Records. Ilian Tape’s Stenny also joins the action with a set tuned with muscular jams and supple grooves.
An eclectic and international selection of artists is also on offer for this New Codes edition, spanning the gamut from garage-inspired techno from a Livity Sounds stalwart (Bristol’s Asusu), mutant house (Pender Street Steppers from Vancouver’s Chinatown), outsider dub-techno (London’s Vester Koza) and everything in between (New Codes favourite Skratch).
