Every Monday we involve different DJs, labels, residents or record shops to host a night with like-minded artists, BFFs and respected colleagues in Globus. The focus lies in vinyl DJing, buddy atmo and just flat-out good vibes. All in hyperfat sound, brought to you by Void Acoustics. Spin that mofo! UK/Berlin connection tonight: born in San Luis Argentina, returning artist Arnaldo fired up his turntable career in Manchester. With a solid London/UK legacy behind him, he is now based in Berlin and has been releasing excellent tracks over the last few years with productions out on Smallville, Greta Cottage and Blank Slate. Arnaldo‘s sets are flawless, a spectrum of the marvelously leftfield and funky, to dancefloor high-time frenzy. Junes is Berlin DJ and a man about town. Whether delivering a guest mix for the Mono_cult show on the Leeds-based KMAH Radio, or running his Berlin-based Galdoor label that adorns alliances to Leeds and Newcastle, and where he has released two very atmospheric EPs – he is an artist to watch. Another northern England import to Berlin is Mark Turner, who is affiliated with Manchester’s Eastern Bloc Records and has also turned out a WERD Electro Show mix on Leeds’ KMAH. This a brilliant beginning of the week dance pocket of top-notch UK DJs for serious house music lovers.
