As the Berlin outfit WERK explains, it is “restoring techno to its most powerful formâ€. If their Soundcloud podcasts are an indication of this restoration, then be prepared for some big, almost colossal sound coming from the basement decks. From the WERK experience we will be given a taste of two artists: Balas (who recently hosted one of the weekly “Rituals†nights in Berlin) and Rifts, who deftly weaves techno, jungle and hardcore into sets that are instinctive, unflinching and authentic. Both of these very underground and fresh-on-our-decks DJs will be brought to the focus and hosted by frequent guest DJ Mischa from the Hardwax crew.
