Every Monday House Of Waxx involves different DJs, labels, residents or record shops to host a night with like-minded artists, BFFs and respected colleagues in Globus. The focus lies in vinyl DJing, buddy atmo and just flat-out good vibes. All in hyperfat sound, brought to you by Void Acoustics. Spin that mofo! In January of 2015, the San Francisco-based party and label Icee Hot called it quits after five years. Since then, its founding members have spread out across the globe; although Low Limit had actually relocated to Los Angeles years prior, 2015 saw both Shawn Reynaldo and DJ Will heading to Europe and starting anew in Barcelona and Berlin, respectively. Only Ghosts on Tape, arguably the most talented DJ/producer of the bunch, stayed behind in San Francisco, and now, that too is coming to an end, as he’s also decided to cross the Atlantic and set up shop in Berlin. This night at House of Waxx isn’t an official Icee Hot reunion by any means, but it will mark the first time that these three DJs have played together in a year. More importantly, it’s a celebration of Ghosts on Tape‘s arrival in Berlin, not to mention the final closing of the San Fancisco chapter of the Icee Hot story.
