Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Following contributions by DJ Deep and DJ Hell, Tresor Records is proud to present the third instalment in their Kern mix-series, this time headed by Berlin-based British producer TJ Hertz aka Objekt, his first release following his 2014 debut album Flatland for PAN. Kern Vol.3 will release on Tresor Records on July 8th. In usual form the mix CD will be accompanied by two 12″s comprising the exclusives and rarities. As an in-demand artist Objekt finds himself behind the decks from Brooklyn to California, Morocco to Spain to Paris, in the best established clubs as well as international events, such as his acclaimed phenomenal closing set from Freerotation 2015. Joining him on the Tresor decks is DJ Bone, who some see as the champion of the underground. Never bending to fit the “popular” DJ mold, those who recognize Bone know him for his uncompromising and innovative ways. His record label Subject Detroit is futuristic and unearthly while still displaying the true essence of Detroit’s Techno Soul. DJ Bone describes himself as “an uncompromising, hype hating, 100% independent, real Detroit native come auditory striker and soul controller that cannot be bought”. Keith Tenniswood is Radioactive Man, a British DJ and electronic music producer based in London, and to most perhaps best as one half of Two Lone Swordsmen with Andrew Weatherall. Delivering a terrific live set, his resilience to stick with a full hardware set guarantees that his trademark warmth and personality envelopes the crowd making the best outlet for his raw machine funk sound. We welcome an artist with glowing international attention. Tresor resident Reka fills out the program with skillful zeal. The +4Bar features three talented women: Laurel Halo’s music culls sounds from Detroit to Germany, from Jamaica to the UK. Born in Michigan and based in Berlin, she has put out both instrumental and vocal records on Hyperdub. In the past, she deejayed at the renowned WCBN-FM radio station in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and now hosts a monthly show on Berlin Community Radio. Chilean-born producer and DJ Shanti Celeste is right at the core of Bristol’s revered house music circuits. Shanti became a fixture at Bristol’s top spot for digging records, Idle Hands, both behind and in front of the counter. Together with Idle Hands’ owner Chris Farell she runs the BRSTL record label, offering a platform for bourgeoning talent from their hometown and beyond. From Israel, Idit Frenkel is a DJ, radio broadcaster and booker from Tel Aviv, playing at the top venues in her country, as well as guest slots in Germany. In Ohm, Anastasia Vtorova aka Machine Woman is a sound artist and image maker often collaborates her practice with other artists Her works inspired by late night listening of down beat minimal electronica music along with melancholic world wide cinema. She shares the decks with Joseph Richmond-Seaton aka Call Super, a DJ and musician from London. A deft ability to craft sets known for their hypnotic intensity and musical breadth has brought him across the world and seen him develop a travelling residency of extended sets alongside Objekt. This expertise is showcased monthly on his show for Berlin Community Radio, and in much loved mixes recorded for FACT, RA, and XLR8R amongst others.
