Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Octave One has been essential to DJ playlists for over two decades. The prolific band of five brothers has produced classic dance floor anthems that continue to resonate as fresh, groundbreaking tracks. In 2015, Octave One released their monumental seventh full-length album Burn it Down on 430 West Records. Core unit members Lenny and Lawrence Burden tour the world with their live performance that continues to thrill fans. The Burdens have also released music under the band name Random Noise Generation, including a 2006 full length DVD/CD project by Octave One featuring Random Noise Generation Off The Grid, released in cooperation with Tresor Records. We are excited to have our good friends back in our home – don’t miss this experience! Especially when two of our best residents will be providing support: Handmade and Magda El Bayoumi. In Tresor: Irish artist Sunil Sharpe is a rising star in his country and gathering steam at international gigs. An excellent techno DJ, he also teaches a DJ course and is drawn to a particularly restless style of techno production—see releases for Works The Long Nights, Brothers, Trensmat and his own label, On The Hoof—that feature warped sound design and high-impact arrangements. Sunil Sharpe is also part of a joint project together with Jon Hussey under the moniker ‘Tricaustic’ with “the Caustophobic Pressure EP” on Komisch records, this was well received and supported in the Techno community. Returning artist and Greek techno purist Endlec was behind the decks at last year’s Atonal Festival after party, and we welcome him back in our home. With his first ever vinyl release from Rotterdam-based Mord Records that got the attention of the international techno scene, Endlec’s work is characterised by a sound that is raw, furious, full of unceasing energy and with no compromise at all: those are the elements that define his style. With 25 years experience as a techno DJ, Jon Hussey is hailed as a pioneer of the Irish Techno scene, kick-starting at the infamous Planet Dub night in Columbia Mills, Dublin. He has promoted and resided at many Techno clubs throughout Ireland as well as playing in many Techno havens across Europe. In 1999 he was among the first group from Ireland to qualify for the Red Bull Music Academy held in Berlin. In 2001 Jon helped electronic music maestro and lecturer Kenneth Harte to setup and establish the ‘Bray Institute for Further Education’ BIFE DJ Techniques & Music production Course which is still to this day the only full time DJ course in Ireland.
