Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Octave One has been essential to DJ playlists for over two decades. The prolific band of five brothers has produced classic dance floor anthems that continue to resonate as fresh, groundbreaking tracks. In 2015, Octave One released their monumental seventh full-length album Burn it Down on 430 West Records. Core unit members Lenny and Lawrence Burden tour the world with their live performance that continues to thrill fans. The Burdens have also released music under the band name Random Noise Generation, including a 2006 full length DVD/CD project by Octave One featuring Random Noise Generation Off The Grid, released in cooperation with Tresor Records. We are excited to have our good friends back in our home – don’t miss this experience! Bookended by two of our best Tresor Club residents Handmade and HGR, this is guaranteed to be a very hot and sweaty Globus night! On the Tresor Floor: Ashley Burchett aka Ø [Phase] is a South West London-based electronic music producer, DJ, mastering engineer and on/off artwork designer. His style ranges from gritty Minimal Techno to Detroit influenced material is best known by his work on Token Records. With a busy international touring schedule, his music progressively earned more and more worldwide recognition – significantly on 2012′s much acclaimed “Binary Opposition” single and subsequently on his 2013 debut LP ‘Frames of Reference’. Juxta Position is an artist in Berlin who produced the second release on Mistress Recordings, “Juxta Position Vol 1”, which included the hit track “Mercy”. He has releases on other labels such as Rhythm Nation, Failsafe and Modularz. Refracted has released some of his dub-techno on labels such as Connwax and Silent Season. Deep rhythms and atmospheric elements have always played a major role in Refracted‘s music. It is techno more as an idea and conduit, than as an easily-labeled sound. It is dance music where layered rhythms act almost on a neural, sub epidermal level, while moving and evolving soundscapes acquire a tactile, understated physicality. Paramount examples of this can be found on releases on Refracted‘s own Mind Express label and other top labels like Silent Season and Pole Group. Spiritual, almost meditative, his sets possess a kinetic energy as well, which is a clear indication of a DJ who knows the fundamental role of dancing as part of the ritual. Refracted wants to take us somewhere, the “where” being of our own choosing, the trail never being the most travelled.
