Inspired by a raw and urban UK techno lineage, returning artist Kieran Whitefield aka Ansome‘s drums are heavyweight, his percussion fierce and his synths full blooded. All in all that makes for a live set that grabs your attention and drags you along for an enthralling ride. Littered with his own field recordings, it can be variously eerie or boisterous. Besides producing and releasing music on many top labels, Ansome also keeps busy by running his own label South London Analogue Material. Returning artist Anthony Arcana is Ayarcana from Italy, producing some very powerful techno on the Vae Victis Records, S.L.A.M. and Parachute Records labels, among others. Italian artist Alessandro Gaja debuted in 2013 on Repitch, and also records on his own Ophism Record label, focused on releasing rusty, live recorded analogue jams of underground acid techno, electro and lo fi synthesizer music. Gaja’s releases on Ophism include “Nanook”, “Money Create Taste” and “Slaves Of The Future”. British-born, Auckland-based and now living in Berlin, producer/DJ James Barrett aka Keepsakes has been going from strength to strength in the murky world of techno in the past few years. With EPs pressed to wax on Ansome and Ossian’s South London Analogue Material and Germany’s Mindcut, appearances on the last two instalments of Mord’s Herdersmat compilations, plus European tours in 2016 and 2017, Keepsakes has been working hard to push his crunchy sound and diverse DJ sets internationally. Keepsakes is now focused full time on bringing a tough and eclectic vibe to dance floors worldwide – utilising his productions, DJ sets, and label to push a sound moving between techno, house, electro, bass music and breaks while still maintaining a distinct crunchy character. In the +4Bar: Andrea Deplano, Claudio Porceddu are the duo The Gods Planet, with two full-length albums and a string of EPs on their self-named label. Deep, emotional, and futuristic, you’re drawn in by lush atmospheres and grounded by a steady beat. The two bring their relatively diverse experiences to the plate. Ness, a sound engineering expert, has been going strong since the ‘90s, with releases on labels like M_Rec Ltd., Affin, and Prologue stamping his influence on the Italian scene. Claudio PRC, a dark & trippy techno connoisseur in the mold of his Italian peer Donato Dozzy, has more recently burst onto the scene with his grayscale and hi-tech work. And we should mention: they will provide wicked music for our guests ALL NIGHT LONG!!
