Drone is a London-based label founded by producer, artist and Death In Vegas guiding light Richard Fearless. An outlet for dancefloor distortion and other musical explorations. Created in the Metal Box, Drone will release oscillations in many forms. From brooding techno to abstract electronics, complete with hand-crafted artwork and videos. Richard moved to New York City for awhile but returned to London. Across records like The Contino Sessions and Scorpio Rising, as Death in Vegas he and production partner Tim Holmes laid out a droning, druggy vision of psychedelic music informed by film noir, decayed Americana, Detroit techno, and trip hop, collaborating with musicians like Bobby Gillespie, Iggy Pop, and Liam Gallagher along the way. Today Richard Fearless is as engaging and relevant as ever, and we welcome him and his label to the Tresor Floor tonight. Invited guests include: Daniel Avery has enjoyed overwhelming positive press for his last releases ‘Slow Fade’ EP and this year’s ‘Song For Alpha’ full-length, Avery’s exploration of the space in which home listening and club music intersect; Vadim Sprikut aka Drowned, a live techno performer whose sound is a combination of both the London and midwest techno scenes in which he has resided. He has released music on the La Mission label and has performed at key parties such as hot mass in the USA and several underground London and Berlin venues; Bulgarian-born Errorbeauty is an electro/electronica producer whose aggressive, tense yet melodically refined music has found it’s way out via many cutting-edge labels. Production work followed with her first release “Sayonara”, uniquely combining her nuanced understanding of melody and arrangement with dystopian, harsh mechanoid beats, allowing Errorbeauty to fully work within disciplines of genres like electro, hard techno, breaks and electronica, enriching them yet not being bound by their limitations. In Globus: Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt is truly one of a kind, a producer and performer who spans many different scenes with ease and always in his own unique style. Most frequently producing as Legowelt, his unique style comes from an unfaltering devotion to hardware, be it old, new or totally knackered. Jamming all day long on music making toys, his output veers from dense and foresty techno to whizzing electro, deeper electronic and stuff for which there isn’t even a name yet. The electronic music producer known as DJ Richard has spent the last five years in the world’s club capitals, Berlin and New York City, but his heart still remains in his native Rhode Island. Along with his cohort Young Male, DJ Richard is one of the more prominent dance-music artists to emerge from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, and in 2012, they founded the “outsider house” record label White Material. And we welcome back Andrés Sacco, one of South America’s most respected DJ’s who regularly travels to Europe to play its major venues. Through a string of records produced over the last 10 years for labels such as Ilian Tape and Greener, Andrés crafted his signature sound. His work is consistently played by the genre’s leading lights. Combining subtle forms of the Techno sound Andrés creates a surprisingly natural mixture that differs from the rest. Andrés stands as the proud heir of a great history in underground dance music.
