Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Tresor Club resident DJ Barbara Preisinger, who heads her own vinyl label Slice Of Life, presents her Deep In The Box evenings in Tresor once a month, whole nights of warm, kicking house and deep techno with cutting-edge international house DJs, something that fans of the night have come to thoroughly enjoy. From her hometown of Munich to success in Berlin, Barbara founded first the “scape” label with Stefan Betke aka Pole and became a regular DJ in many Berlin clubs. Her passion is to play for the dancefloor, mixing kicking house and deep techno – often incorporating the music of many notable guest friends and artists. Returning DITB artist Losoul is a member of a unique guild of producers that always has been blessed with its very own sound signature. In the course of his musical socialisation, Losoul came across a kaleidoscope of different styles: Techno- and House blueprints, Funk and Soul of the seventies, prehistoric Hip Hop and of course a bit of Jazz for the mind. At first, he appeared under the guise Don Disco that he used in the early and blessed nineties as a part of the Superbleep-DJ-Team. Fuelled with his unparalleled ability to abstract the basics of dance music, tracks out of his forge blaze as typical Losoul grooves. Already one of his first and most famous pieces “Open Door” impressively exercises his practice of marathon jams that never go stale. But Losoul can also adjust to different techniques. For instance, when he respelled the words electronic pop music by means of a new alphabet in conjunction with the singer Malte, delivered his multi-layered as well as fascinating albums: “Belong” and “Getting Even”. New York-based Tinton Duvante has a musical history spanning back to the early 90’s, as co-creator of the seminal techno band Body Release (alongside Todd Sines, Charles Noel and Mike Szewczyk), and on through a multifaceted career as a composer, recording artist, producer, remixer, record label owner and DJ. Titonton Duvante continues to evolve creatively, and as a DJ he is known for blurring the boundaries of electronic music genres, deconstructing, blending and rebuilding beats with his special brand of turntablism. Straddling the line between the outer reaches of Motorcity sounds and the sheer force of his own musical imagination, his sound very much lives in its own sphere, bringing his extraordinary style to nightclubs around the world. And if you haven’t had the chance to catch a set by Marc FM, now is your chance. A previous guest @ DITB nights, the Berlin decks-hand is well-known in the underground Berlin venues, no stranger to our home and you can expect something wonderful in his sound. Downstairs in Tresor: despite releasing only a small handful of records since his eponymous white-label debut in 2011, Objekt has quickly become one of the most consistently lauded producers of recent years. The Berlin-based DJ and producer has garnered an enviable reputation for attention to detail, evocative arrangements and inventive, effervescent sound design, coaxing sonic features from the most unlikely of places. Flatland, Objekt’s debut album, was released on PAN in 2014 and pushed further into sonic and structural experimentation than his club records were able to, without losing the musicality and physicality that made his singles so compelling. Objekt’s unique style is nowhere better exemplified than in Kern Vol. 3, his highly acclaimed mix CD for our label, released in 2016 and described in a 4.5-star RA review as “a window into the very essence of DJing”. A rather discreet yet well-established figure in the German techno scene, Stefan Schmidt-Dichte aka Perm distanced himself from all kind of hindering norms and standards that so often seem to shackle creativity when it comes to the club-related competitive edge of things. Consistently proving, record after record, that the tried-and-tested 4/4 grammar isn’t boring or unadventurous by essence, the Leipzig-based producer has collated a handful of grade-A releases for labels such as Holger, his own label DUR Records, Mana All Nite and Uncanny Valley’s offshoot Shtum, on which he released shtum 014 in September 2017. Perm is a wizard simply knows how to leave dancers both dizzy and beatific. Nicole is a DJ & producer from Tbilisi, Georgia and has been referred to as one of the leading female artists from the Tbilisi club Scene. Nicole has already performed in most of Tbilisi clubs and has gained a highly-respected reputation for her energetic and emotive sets. Currently Nicole holds a residency at the legendary club Cafe-Gallery, where besides her duties as a DJ, she enjoys her role as a promoter, hosting many foreign artists and scouts new talents from the local scene. Born in Berlin, artist Ron Wilson started out with his event & podcast series Tanzmichmal over a decade ago and is now busy with his own record label 777 Recordings, earning him underground credibility around the globe. With his new residency at Tresor and hosting his own clubnight bookings at Globus, Ron Wilson counts among Berlin’s most prolific electronic music DJs, playing diverse styles ranging from techno to acid to house and electro.
